  of Surrey\, William de Warenne\; to becoming a key Yorkist stronghold in 
 the 15th Century\; to ownership being transferred to the Dukes of York. Th
 en\, like neighbouring Pontefract Castle\, the Civil War would lead to its
  demise.\n\nJoin us to hear how the castle developed through the centuries
